1. Agreement

By accessing or using CIDigest ("the Service"), operated by CIDigest ("we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CIDigest is a competitive intelligence platform that monitors publicly available information about your competitors — including social media, news, job postings, and advertising — and delivers structured digests via email and Slack.

3. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account per person. Company accounts can have multiple team members.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond the provided API
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
• Use competitor data obtained through the Service for harassment or defamation

5. Data and Content

Your Data

You retain ownership of any data you provide (company information, competitor lists, channel configurations). We use your data only to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Competitive Intelligence Data

The competitive signals, summaries, and digests generated by CIDigest are derived from publicly available information processed by AI. This content is provided "as is" for informational purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any competitive intelligence data.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, code, and branding are owned by CIDigest. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service. Competitive intelligence summaries generated for your account may be used freely within your organization.

7. Payment and Billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
• All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions honor the old price until renewal.
• Free tier usage is subject to fair use limits.

8. Termination

• You may cancel your account at any time from the Settings page or by contacting support.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless you request an export.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CIDigest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Competitive intelligence data is AI-generated from public sources and may contain inaccuracies.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
