- Slack: When you connect Slack, we store an OAuth access token and channel IDs to deliver digests. We do not read your Slack messages.
- Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We do not access your Google data beyond authentication.

4. Data Sources
CIDigest collects competitive intelligence from publicly available sources only: social media posts (Twitter/X, LinkedIn), news articles (Google News), job postings on public career pages, and publicly visible advertising (Google Ads Transparency Center). We do not scrape private or gated content.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers: Firebase (authentication), Resend (email delivery), OpenAI (signal classification), Hetzner (hosting). Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Competitive signals are retained for up to 12 months for historical analysis. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (TLS), secure hosting on dedicated servers in the EU (Hetzner), hashed credentials, and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we strive to protect your information.
